NEW Schudio CMS – Top New Features
NEW Schudio CMS – Top New Features
Over the last few months our teams have been beavering away on some lovely new ideas. The first stage of these is to complete a wholesale overhaul of our main website product, the Schudio Content Management System (CMS).
The Schudio CMS has long been regarded as a top of the line performer and is well-known for its reliability and ease of use, something we all work very hard to maintain.
Something that we have been really keen to improve is the way the new features we have added over the last couple of years all tie together, and so we are delighted to release a brand new version of our CMS.
We have plans and development schedules in place for the overhaul of all the modules within the CMS and a host of exciting new features but for now, here is what is new;
File Manager
One of the bugbears we had with the old system is that, while it was very easy to use, and all your files are stored online, it wasn’t the easiest to find any file, in any location and use that file wherever you wanted to.
Now, whether you want to add an image to a News article, select a number of images for a Photo Gallery, or simply manage your files better online, the new file manager does all this in one easy to use location.
Hey presto! Managing your online files for your website just got a whole lot easier.
New Drag & Drop
Drag & Drop is cool. Simple. Sometimes it can be cumbersome and there was a bit of a nack to using the old Drag & Drop system in Menus and Pages. It wasn’t difficult, but there was definitely a nack to it!
With the new Drag & Drop system we have added to the CMS, managing and ordering your Pages and Menu items is incredibly easy.
Bootstrap 3.0
We LOVE Twitter Bootstrap. A few years ago Twitter made a decision to make it’s user interface framework available to all. As a result, many, many companies and developers around the world now use Bootstrap as a framework for their websites and online services. The new Schudio CMS is built using the very latest version of Bootstrap and as a result is stable, highly responsive and a dream to use.
The ultra-modern, flat design and full screen layout makes interacting with you website admin easy and enjoyable.
Many of the websites we design are built using the latest version of Bootstrap 3 and, at renewal, all clients who have been with us for a while and are on a slightly older version of Bootstrap will be upgraded to this latest version for their CLIENT FACING school website.
As we’ve said before, we keep you ahead of the curve.
the new Schudio CMS is due to launch mid-April 2015
